Why Sideline exists

Club stats are stuck in the past

A wet sidelineThe serious apps want an iPad and two free hands. Your analyst has a phone, one thumb, and horizontal rain.
Old rulesTwo-point arc, new kickout rules — most stats tools haven't caught up. Your numbers should match the game being played.
Stats that die in a notebookTallies from Sunday never become a season picture. The data should work for you all year, not just at half-time.
What it does

Everything the backroom needs

Built for the new rules

Two-point arc, inside/outside-arc conversion, the lot. Not a soccer app with GAA paint.

Phone-first, rain-proof

Tag one-handed on a phone, or spread out on a tablet in the dugout. Works with no signal; syncs when you're back in coverage.

Multiple taggers, one match

Split the jobs: one on shots and kickouts, one on tackles and turnovers. Every device sees every tag live.

The report writes itself

Kickout retention, conversion, breaches, expected score — banded against your targets, ready at the final whistle.

Video review, no uploads

Attach the match video on a laptop, click any event to jump straight to it, tag what you missed. Your footage never leaves your machine.

Season, not just Sunday

Every player against their own season average; team KPI trends match by match.

Match day

How it works

1

Tag on your phones

Tap the pitch where it happened, pick the event, pick the player. Two seconds a tag, one thumb.

2

Everyone syncs live

Two or three taggers, one shared match. Scoreboard, possession arrow and every marker update on every device.

3

Report at the whistle

KPI sheet, pitch maps, player cards — done before the team's out of the dressing room.

After the whistle

A full analysis suite, not a tally sheet

Every tag feeds one match record. The analysis is built on top — the same four tabs your county analyst would want, without the county budget.

Match report

Kickout retention, conversion inside and outside the arc, breaches, expected score — computed live and banded Target / Acceptable / Poor against your club's own targets, with a coach's comment on every KPI.

Pitch maps

Every shot, kickout and turnover plotted where it happened. See conversion inside versus outside the 40m arc, where kickouts landed, where the ball was lost. Tap any marker for the who, when and what.

Player cards

Each player's match measured against their own season average, with the ups and downs marked. No comparing a corner-back to a full-forward — every player against themselves.

Season trends

Team KPIs plotted match by match against your target lines, so you can see whether the kickout work in training is actually showing up on Sundays.

Video review

Attach the match video on a laptop and click any event to jump straight to that moment. Tag from the video what nobody caught live — it joins the match record like any other tag.

Fix it later

Missed something in the chaos? A finished match stays open. Add or correct tags afterwards with the half and time — the report updates itself.

One app, every screen

Built for phone, tablet and laptop

The same app everywhere — it runs in the browser and shapes itself to the screen. Nothing to install, nothing to keep in sync.

On the sideline

Phone

One-thumb tagging in any weather. The device your analyst already has in their pocket.

In the dugout

Tablet

A bigger pitch and bigger buttons for the stats table — same match, same live sync.

During the week

Laptop

Video review, season trends and reports on the big screen — ready for the Tuesday night debrief.

For the whole club

Built for clubs, not just coaches

Roles that match real life

Managers run the team. Coaches see everything and tag. Your stats person tags live and finishes the job from video. Players see their own numbers. Everyone gets exactly what they need — nothing they don't.

Set up properly, not sold and abandoned

Every club is onboarded personally, with training for your taggers. Your data is stored in Ireland, belongs to your club, and match video is never uploaded anywhere.
